• Rick was born in Craven County and throughout their thirty years of marriage and twenty-one years of active Marine Corps duty, Rick and Laura have been residents of Jacksonville, Havelock and Newport, NC (among many other places nationwide). Rick and Laura have two sons, both of whom followed their father's path into the military, one Soldier and one Marine.

Rick and Laura were awarded the Border Magic frachise and Border Magic by Crystal Coast Outdoor Designs launched in the fall of 2023. Our team is focused on providing our clients with the functional and beautiful continuous concrete border that not only simplifies their landscape maintenance, but also provides an addition to their home's curb appeal that exceeds their expectations.
